While the “crowds” are thinner in Winter at Hog’s Back Falls in Ottawa, you can still usually count on seeing some fellow humans venturing out in the snow to watch in awe as the icy waters roar and boil down the Rideau River at this tourist spot.
Or a fellow photographer.
Which struck me as a fitting take on Erica V.‘s Weekly Photo Challenge, A Face in The Crowd, in which the subject of the photo was to be masked in some way. As we observe and record, to what extent are we as photographers ourselves hidden or obscured behind our lenses? At least until we lower the camera and say, ‘hello.’
